Heavy Square Nut Properties
Description A four-sided, internally threaded fastener with a washer faced top side and a flat or chamfered bottom. They are wider and thicker than regulat square nuits.
Applications
& Advantages		 For us with A307 Grade B bolts.
Material Nuts are to be made from a carbon steel whick conforms to the following chemical copmosition requirements. - Carbon: .58% maximum, Phosphorus: .13 % maximum
Heat Treatment Grade-2H" Shall be heat treated by quenching in a liquid medium from a temperature above the transformation temperature and tempered at a temperature of at least 850°F.
Grades- C, DH and DH3: Shall be heat treated by quenching in a liquid medium from a temperature above the transformation temperature and tempered at a temperature of at least 800°F.
Hardness Rockwell B68 - C32
Proof Load Plain or Zinc plated: 90,000 psi Hot Dip Galvenized: 68,000 psi
