Recoil's Helical Wire Thread Inserts are Simple and Easy To Use. |

Drill to clear out the damaged thread |
 |
Use the STI tap to re-thread. Tap thread should match up with the bolt. |
 |
Wind insert with light downward pressure 1/4 to 1/2 turn below the surface, driving tang towards the bottom of the hole. |
 |
Remove tool, turn 90° and tap down sharply. For fine thread inserts long nose pliers may be used. |
